Alissa Roach

Contact
InstagramAlissa Roach (b. Kingston, Jamaica) is a writer and artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Through text, video, painting and spoken word she explores ideas of home from a migrant perspective – reminders of home, missing home, what it means to build a home, what it means to leave, and what it means for that home to face imminent destruction. Her writing often interrogates institutions and lingers within artists’ gestures; her articles and essays have been featured in The Philadelphia Plain Dealer, Parentheses Review and sx salon.
